The “Military Room”, in an alcove of the museum,

has an ethereal feel and is a favorite of visiting

student groups.

The servicemen and women of the community are

honored by the museum which houses an extensive

display of uniforms from World War I through the

conflict in Afghanistan and from all branches of the

Armed Forces.

Visitors can check out artifacts as varied as spent

artillery shells, memorial flags, combat boots,

water canteens, unit group photos and medals of

honor.
