“Where the pavement ends and the West begins” is the theme of the Crystal Springs Ranch Rodeo held every year in the rolling hills of the coteau a few miles outside of Clear Lake. The museum hosts photos, paintings, rodeo programs and news clippings of the original rodeo in 1945 until today. The dream of “America’s Most Natural Rodeo Bowl” by rancher E. W. “El” Wiesel is depicted with collectible saddles, boots, and western gear. For 25 years Wiesel produced the PRCA sanctioned rodeo which became known throughout the upper Midwest. See awards stamped on saddle leather and many letters of commendation. Thousands of fans have attended the rodeo over its long history. Rodeo Days have become nearly a week-long celebration for the Clear Lake community.
